SFbike.org Proposal

When the Bike Coalition announced the need for a new website, I teamed up with lowercase productions to pursue the project. Our proposal contained a good smattering of info-graphics, boiling down some complicated ideas in anticipation of a larger conversation at interview time: a project schedule became a timeline; a fee schedule for a modest budget became an a la carte menu; and the scope was an eight-step recipe for a solid website. And the cover letter is one of my best yet.

Public clients don't do nuance. One of the biggest challenges here was to convey a nuanced message despite a highly prescribed format. My layout design pulled out all the stops: color-coded navigation, a hierarchical text system, and even restating the questions from the RFP. The result was an audience who grasped the message in mere moments. Client Edgar Lopez remarked that this was highly appreciated -- and probably earned our team a higher score than we otherwise would have gotten.
